Hello, people on the Internet. My name is Diandra, but you can call me Dee. I live in St. Albans, Queens, New York, but starting Friday, August 29, 2008, I'll start my new life as a freshman at Russell Sage College.
Let me tell you a little bit about our college. It is located in Troy, NY. It's ten miles away from the state capital, Albany. It's is 160 miles north of my home, and 235 miles west of Boston. It is a private women's college founded in 1916 by Margaret Olivia Slocum Sage. This is the oldest school in the Sage Colleges, which has a coeducational college, Sage College of Albany and a graduate school on RSC's campus, called Sage Graduate School.
There are about 800 undergraduates, and 150 of them are in Bachelor's/Master's programs. There are 150 full-time faculty across the Sage Colleges. There are 11 students for each faculty member and the average class size is 17. The degrees offered are B.A. and B.S. in 30 majors. My major is forensic science, perhaps I might double major in chemistry, later on. The campus has 40 building in downtown historic Troy on a 15-acre waterfront campus. The campus houses INVEST, Buchman Pavilion campus center, historic brownstone residence halls, Robinson Athletic Center, a brand-spankin' new Center for Recreation and Field Sports, the Upton Center for Women's Studies, and the New York State Theatre Institute.
Well, that about an intro to Russell Sage I can give you. If you want to learn more go to: http://sage.edu/rsc/
